In many of our reviews, you will see links to online stores (like Amazon, or a software developer's checkout page). If you click on one of these links and purchase the product, we might earn a small commission from that sale. This happens at absolutely zero extra cost to you.
Importantly, we do not let these commissions dictate what we write. If a product is bad, we will say it's bad. Why? Because if you buy a terrible product on our recommendation, you will return it, and we will lose the commission anyway. Plus, we'd lose your trust, which is worth far more to us than a quick buck.
Review Units & Sponsorships
Sometimes, companies send us free review units of their hardware or give us free access codes to their digital subscription services. Here is our policy on that:
- We never accept payment in exchange for a positive review. Period.
- If a review unit is sent to us, we will state it clearly at the top of the post.
- We reserve the right to point out every single flaw, even if the brand paid for the shipping. If they don't like it, we won't review their products again.
No Professional Advice
While we do our best to test everything thoroughly, our reviews are based on our personal experiences and opinions. We are not financial advisors, certified IT consultants, or medical professionals. If we review a health-tracking ring, it's not a medical device. If we review accounting software, double-check your taxes with an actual accountant.
